Which vein drains blood from the colon and where does it flow to?
Superior mesenteric vein drains blood from the midgut part of the large intestine (as far as 2/3 way along transverse colon)
The inferior mesenteric vein drains the hindgut part of the large intestine.

Into the cisterna chyli and then into the thoracic duct.
