What are some general features of Corynebacterium?

- Aerobic G (+) rods, irregular shaped (club-shaped), catalase positive. “Chinese-character” growth patterns.

- C. diphtheria, C. jeikeium

- The diphtheriae toxin – A-B exotoxin interferes with protein elongation factor 2.
