  • Making laws for the nation is the main responsibility of this branch of government
  • The Governor General, the House of Representatives, and the Senate make up the legislative branch of government

  • Main responsibility is to use government departments to implement laws
  • The Queen, the Prime Minister, and the other Ministers make up the Executive
    • The House of Representatives is where our government is created; the party with the majority (76 or more) forms the government, and its leader is the prime minister
