Under what circumstances may separation be reduced in the vacinity of the aerodrome?

A

where adequate separation is provided by the aerodrome controller and each ac is continously visible.

each ac is continuously visible to pilots of other ac concerned and pilots report they can maintain their own separation

one ac is following another and the pilot of the succeeding ac reports the other in sight and can maintain their own separation

A

divergin tracks of 45 degrees or more immediately after take off

(may be reduced: independant diverging or parallel runways; and/or when approved by CAA)

A

Provided that:

the preceeding ac has a filed TAS of 40kts or more faster

neither ac are cleared to execute a manouevre that would decrease the 2 min spearation between them
