When a solid dissolves in a liquid is there a chemical reaction
No there is not because it is still there you just cant see it
What does soluble and insoluble mean
soluble- means something that can dissolve
insoluble-means something that cant dissolve
Why can certain solids dissolve
if a solid dissolves it is because its particles are small enough to fit in the spaces between the particles of the liquid.

the process in which you use heat to evaporate something
What is condensation
condensation is when water droplets formed by steam are cooled
What is filtration
when you have a liquid and solid and pour it through filter paper only the liquid bit will get through
What is distillation
To get pure water you need to cool it and condense the steam or water vapor turn it back into liquid water
what is chromatography
when more than one solute is dissolved in a solute they can be separated using chromatography. Different sized particles move at different speeds across the paper.
what is evaporation
when water is put on top of heat so it evaporates/dissolves in the air
