Cells,tissues and organs Flashcards
What properties does a animal cell have
list the 3
Nucleus
cytoplasm
cell membrane
Name the two types of cells.
Plant cell
Animal cell
What properties does a plant cell have
List the 6
Nucleus Cell wall Cell membrane Chloroplast Vacuole Cytoplasm
Why does a plant cell have a rigid structure oppose to animal cell
Because it has to be protected from other creatures it also needs to contain everything.
Of these three things which do plant and animal cells have in commen:
Cell membrane Cell wall. Nucleus
Cytoplasm Chloroplast. Vacuole
Cell membrane
Nucleus
Cytoplasm
What does a cell membrane do
Controls what goes in and out of the plant
What does cytoplasm do
Makes up most of the animal
What does a nucleus do
Controls the chemical activity of the cell
What does chloroplast do
Contains chlorophyll which is a green pigment that plants use for photosynthesis
What does vacuole do
Holds water pushes up against cell wall to keep it rigid
What order do these words go:
Tissues
Organs
Cells
Cells -Tissues - Organs
Cells divide and make new cells how
Cells splits in two- new cell membrane forms- they then divide
What are tissues
Groups of cells that join together to make a tissues to perform different functions
List the 5 organs
Heart. Lungs.
Liver. Brain.
Stomach
In plants what acts as the organs
Leaves and roots
