It is the process of improving the quality and quantity of website traffic to a website or web page from search engines.
What type of traffic does SEO target?
It targets unpaid traffic so it is free.

- Keep up to date with Google updates as the algorithm changes every 6 months which can affect how sites rank.
- Focus on how the mobile version of your site looks. This is known as mobile-first indexing.
- Having a search engine on a website can give the customer the feeling that they are part of the marketing process.

What do keywords mean in the context of SEO?
It refers to the words that customers are using on search engines, so you need to include those words on your website in order to rank for them.
What is a long tail search query?
It is a phrase e.g. Blue and white glasses with diamanté. These queries tend to be niche as there are likely to be less people searching for it. The longer the phrase the easier it is for you to rank on the first page of Google.

On a page by page basis.

You want high volume with low search difficulty. The smaller the word the harder it is to rank.
