Common nouns types:
- Concrete (Count, Aggregate, Non-count)
- Abstract (Count, Non-count, Collective)
Concrete nouns are:
Tangible (actual) things you can hold
Count Noun is (Concrete):
Something you can count (cups etc)
Aggregate Nouns are (Concrete):
Only exist in plural form (scissors, trousers)
Non-cunt Nouns are (Concrete):
Can’t have a number or a/ an before it (sand/ milk)
Collective Nouns are (Concrete):
Refer to a group of things (murder, flock, heard)
Abstract Noun is:
Concepts (racism)
Count Noun is (Abstract):
Can count (love)
Non-count Noun is (Abstract):
Can’t have a/ an before it (discrimination, sexism)
A noun phrase is:
A noun, modified by 1 more word, usually an adjective (a very red apple)
Phrase is:
A group of words that is acting as a word (an apple)
Cause is:
A chunk of a sentence
Adjective is:
A word that describes/ modifies a noun

1.Granding: Base, Comparative, Superlative
2. Absolute- can’t be graded(perfect, absolute, unique)
3. Attributive-before a noun
4. Predicative- after a noun
