- contributes to feedback for precise motor skills / organizational abilities
- influenced by attention and memory
3
Q
Children w discrimination problems may have trouble with: (4)

- manipulation of fasteners
- tool use
- eating (moving food in mouth, clearing food from mouth)
- movement of body through space (grading force of movements)

- is child able to accurately discriminate details of objects?
- can child perceive direction of movement without vision?
- what sensory info does child use most? least?
5
Q
Assessing discrimination issues:
A
- SIPT (manual form perception, kinesthesia, finger ID, graphesthesia, localization of tactile stimuli)
- test of visual perception/discrimination
- clinical obs

Q
Treatment for Discrimination problems:
A
- Prep work to prepare body / brain for more discriminative activities.
