Why was Seneca heavily criticised?
For his hypocrisy over his influence over Nero who was a famously debauched tyrant.
Although our topic is love, which emotion can also be referenced?
Anger was often used by ancient writers as an example of the emotions.
Why is anger so important?
If we can understand Seneca’s ideas about how one should feel and express anger, we can then apply this knowledge to love/lustful desire.
