Self-Awareness
This type emerges when people are aware of how they appear to others. It often emerges in situations when people are at the center of attention.

This type happens when people become aware of some aspects of themselves, but only in a private way.

It deals with strengths that involve the way we acquire and use knowledge. It includes creativity, curiosity, judgment, love of learning, and perspective.
Wisdom
It describes strengths that deals with overcoming fear. It includes bravery, honesty, perseverance, and zest.
Courage
It describes strengths that manifest in caring relationships with others. It includes kindness, love, and social intelligence.
Humanity
It describes strengths that make life fair. It includes fairness, leadership, and teamwork.
Justice
It deals with strengths that protect from stress. It is the practiced ability to monitor and manage one’s emotions. It includes forgiveness, humility, prudence, and self-regulation.
Temperance
It describes strengths that provide a broad sense of connection to something higher. It includes appreciation of beauty and excellence, gratitude, hope, humor, and spirituality.
Transcendence
These are principles, standards, or qualities that an individual or group of people hold in high regard.
Values
These refers to the set of values or the value system that a majority of the Filipino have historically held important in their lives.
Filipino value system or Filipino values
A cultural philosopher that concludes his book Pilosopiyang Pilipino (1982) that Filipino values are based on the significance of the world to man.

It is the shared sense of identity and consciousness of the ‘other’. It means treating others with respect and dignity.

It is the basic and most important unit of a Filipino’s life.

It is the famous trait of the Filipinos to find humor in everything. It sheds light on the positivity and optimism of Filipinos in whatever situation they are in.

Allows the Filipino to adapt and be flexible in doing tasks at times.

This is a reflection of the Filipinos’ strong faith in God as seen in their various practices.

Filipinos have developed a sense of resourcefulness or the ability to survive with whatever they have.
Ability to survive
Filipinos are very determined and persevering in accomplishing whatever they set their minds to.
Hard work and industriousness
The heartwarming generosity of a Filipino family hosting a visitor in their poverty-stricken home and the warmth and friendliness of Filipinos as they experience that feeling of “belongingness”.
