- measure property/area
- prepare area by removing debris and grading
- layout an area of the lawn

steps to lay sod
A
- ensure grade is appropriate to accomodate depth of soil/sod
- mark all irrigation heads, valve boxes, electrical covers, drain grates
- stagger sod so no seams match up
- ensure no gaps, pulled tight together
- place sod staples/pins
- first mowing can occur when sod is lightly rooted
- verify installation meets specifications
