What kind of model is EMDR?
Information-processing model with direct connections to a neurobiological model.
Normally, where is an episodic memory transferred to?
Semantic memory
When does the transfer of semantic to episodic memory occur?
Usually in part during the REM stage of the sleep cycle.
What is the difference between recalling a memory when it is still ‘episodic’ and when it is ‘semantic’?
In episodic, the descriptive and emotional-physiological components are evoked. (more vivid/real)
