  • Helps distract or pull focus from a landing
  • Helos, Ospreys, LCACs have longer range and distract/force the enemy to spread out their forces to cover more area. Allowing slower vessels to move to the objective.
  • Avoids buildup of forces on the beach head where they’re vulnerable.
