What is a group?
A container for users
Where would you go to make new user accounts/ change permissions?
Control panel under user accounts
What can you do in the local users and groups panel?
Make customized user groups, enable or disable them as well
In the local user and groups panel if a group has a down arrow on its symbol what does that mean?
It means that the group is disabled
What’s the difference between an Admin and a power user?
Admin can take control of other peoples stuff while power users only have control over their own

Full Control, Modify, Read and Execute, List folder contents, Read, Write and Special Permissions
What does the ntfs permission full control allow one to do?
Enables you to do anything you want
What does the ntfs permission Modify do?
Enables you to read, write, and delete both files and subfolders
What does the ntfs permission Read and execute do?
Enables yout o see contents of the folder and any subfolders as well as run any executable programs or associations in that folder
What does the ntfs permission List folder contents do?
Enables you to see the contents of the folder and any subfolders
What does the ntfs permission Read do?
Enables you to view a folders contents and open any file in the folder
What does the ntfs permission Write do?
Enables you to write to files and create new files and folders

Universal Naming Convention
What is the format for a UNC name?
\servername\sharename\path\filename
When would you use a mapping drive?
When you want to access a shared file other than the UNC way
