Onset after head trauma
Onset after Valsalva maneuver
Exacerbated by head positions

Hemiparesis, seizures, cranial nerve deficit, mental changes
intracranial pressure Vomiting, diplopia, altered sensorium, papilledema
ssx of meningeal irritation that would suggest secondary HA
Nuchal rigidity, photophobia, vomiting
(+) Brudzinski/Kernig
hx of bleeding diathesis that would suggest secondary HA
hypercoagulable
cancer
AIDS
