■ Lesions range rom small, barely elevated papules to plaques with a warty sur ace and a “stuck on”
appearance.
SKINLESIONS Early. Small,1-to3-mm,barely elevated papule, later a larger plaque (Figs. 9-36 and 9-37) with or without pigment. T e sur ace has a greasy eel and o en shows, with a hand lens, ne stippling like the sur ace o a thimble. Late. Plaque with warty sur ace and “stuck
on” appearance (Fig. 9-38), “greasy.” With a handlens,horncystscano enbeseen;with dermoscopy they can always be seen and are diagnostic.Size rom1to6cm.Flatnodule. Brown, gray, black, skin-colored, round, or oval
