Breast Cancer Screening Guidelines

A
  • Average risk women
    • mammography age 50-74 q 2-3 years
  • High risk women
    • MRI + mammogram yearly through genetics centre
    • known BRCA or 1st deg relative but decline genetic testing
    • >=25% lifetime risk using IBIS or BOADICEA tools at genetics clinic
    • chest before age 30 and at least 8 years previously

  • Pre-contemplation – no clue/care re issue at hand
  • Contemplation – pt is ambivalent re change
  • Preparation – considering change and options for change
  • Action – participating in behavioral change
  • Maintenance – duration of change/coping and struggling with change
  • Relaspe – back to previous baseline/ support / reassess readiness to change
