Scientific methods
a method of procedure that has characterized natural science since the 17th century, consisting in systematic observation, measurement, and experiment, and the formulation, testing, and modification of hypotheses.
Hypothesis
a supposition or proposed explanation made on the basis of limited evidence as a starting point for further investigation.
Controlled experiment
A scientific control is an experiment or observation designed to minimize the effects of variables other than the independent variable
Variable
not consistent or having a fixed pattern; liable to change.
Control group
The control group is defined as the group in an experiment or study that does not receive treatment
Experimental group
is a group that receives a treatment in an experiment
