An if/then statement in a testable form. The 3 variables: Independent variable, Dependent variable, & Constant.
An Independent Variable is…
The variable that is changeable in a question. (Ex) height of a drop)
A Dependent Variable is…
The variable that is the outcome of the question. (Ex) damage done to something dropped)
A Constant is…
The unchanging variable in the question. (Ex) the item being dropped)
A Hypothesis is…
How something is explained before testing.
A Design is…
A step by step process of the experiment/test.
An Experiment is…
The design being tested - with a table for results.
An Explanation is…
What happened in the experiment portion - INCLUDING mistakes/failures.
A Conclusion is…
The results & whether or not the Hypothesis portion was correct - if there will be a continuation of testing.
