Mouth and Nose (air breathing in)
Where does the air go after the mouth?
The air passes down the throat (pharynx) and then down into the lungs via the trachea.
How many parts do the lungs have?
2; left and right
What protects the lungs?
The ribcage
What do the lungs do to the air?
It separates oxygen from the rest of the air as it inflates.
Where do the lungs send the oxygen?
The oxygen is sent into our blood stream and then distributed around the body.
What controls us breathing in/out?
The diaphragm is a muscle under our lungs that contracts and relaxes, controlling the breathing motion.
