What is the difference between the research performed by PBL-Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency and policy relevant research by Wageningen University?
A
- PBL informs policy makers and governments, while WUR does not have a formal position meaning that WUR does not have to report to policy makers.
- PBL always works in an integrated way and with assessments ( not primary research)

What is a ‘science assessment’ and what is its role in the Science -Policy interface ?
A
It is making judgements on the state of knowledge on an environmental issue or phenomenon by a large group of people with an integrated background.

To increase legitimacy and provide saliency to the answers that IPBES provides to decision makers
