What is an organism?
An organism is something that is living and affects the survival of other species in its environment
What is a microorganism?
A micro organism is an organism that can only be seen by a microscope. For example bacteria or algae
What is a species?
A species is an organism that is similar to others of its kind. Which can reproduce and mate with eachother
What is Population?
Population means a bunch of members from one species that all live in one area
What is a community?
A community is a bunch of different organisms that live in one area
What is an ecosystem?
An ecosystem is the interaction between biotic and abiotic species
What does abiotic and biotic mean?
Abiotic is a non living organism and vice versa
What is ecology?
The study between living and non living things
What is a habitat?
A habitat is is a space where an organism lives to get access to its basic needs
What is a nutrient?
A substance that all organisms need to live and thrive. For example sugar, proteins, and fats
What is competition?
When more than one organism tries to get hold of a resource in the same area
What is mutualism?
An interaction between individual species that benefit eachother
What is a predator?
A predator is an organism that hunts another organism for a meal or food
What is a prey?
What is being hunted or attempted to be killed

Abiotic: air, water, sunlight,
Biotic: plants, animals, microorganisms
What can ecosystems be divided into?
Communties, populations, and species
How do abiotic elements determine where organisms live?
Water, sun, air, and temperature can affect each environment differently as different organisms have different needs
How can competition affect the number of organisms in a population?
Competition can affect the number of organisms because the amount of resources affect prey and predators
What are model ecosystems for?
Model ecosystems are made of common materials that are found everyday. Scientists observe the a biotic and biotic interactions
How are humans apart of and affect ecosystems? And
Humans pollute, farm, and mine which affect ecosystems alot. Humans also compete with ither organisms aswell
