How do the particles move in a solid?
Particles vibrate In fixed positions
How do particles move in a liquid?
Particles slide over each other
How do particles move in a gas?
particles move quickly and randomly in all directions
What is an element?
A substance made up of only 1 type of atom
What is a molecule?
Two or more non metal atoms chemically bonded together
What is a compound?
a substance made of more than one type of atom chemically bonded
