A
- Snuffbox tenderness (w ulnar deviation)
- Axial load 1st MC
- Palmar scaphoid tender

A
3V Wrist + scaphoid view
May miss up to 1/3rd of acute scaphoid fractures

A
Waist (middle 1/3)

Management
A
Thumb Spica in dorsiflexion with radial deviation
If displaced refer to ortho from ED
Undisplaced follow up with ortho in 1 - 2 weeks

Distal radius fracture
Fracture of neighbouring carpals
Carpal dislocation

Complications
A
Avascular necrosis
Delayed union
Non union
Malunion
Early degenerative arthritis
