Acute sudden deceleration injury
Hyperextension
Marked internal rotation of the tibia on the femur

Clinical Features
A
Associated “pop” with the injury
Often must stop playing immediately
Unable to weight bear
Usually significant swelling 1-2 hr post injury
Restricted flexion
+ Lachman Test
+ Anterior Drawer Test

Usually normal
+/- Avulsion of the Anterior Tibial Spine
+/- Segond Fracture

Tensor
Crutches
Weight Bear as Tolerated
Knee Immobilizer PRN
