Innervation of the scalp
Trigeminal, lesser occipital from cervical plexus cutaneous nerve, greater occipital C2, greater auricular C2 c3
What nerve roots innervate the posterior skull
Just behind ear anterior rami of C2 ad c3. More posterior posterior rami of C2 C3
Blood supply to the skull
Anterior- all internal carotid via opthalmic
Posterior- All external carotid via posterior auricular, occipital and superficial temporal
Where is the lymphatic drainage for the posterior skull
Occipital nodes and mastoid nodes –> deep cervical nodes
Where is lymphatics for anterior skull
Pre auricular and parotid nodes, submandibular nodes
What are the muscles of facial expression
Platysma, buccinator, obicularis oris, obicularis oculi, occipito frontalis, auricularis muscles
Where does the superficial part of the parotid gland sit

Wraps around the inferior margin of the ramus and behind the mandible
What fascia wraps around the parotid and submandibular gland
Investing fascia
What supplies sensory to the parotid gland

Where does the parotid duct exit the gland
Anterior margin of the superficial part
Surface marking of the parotid duct
Line between lower part of the tragus and comissure of the mouth. Divide into three parts the middle part 1.5 cm above and below 90% of ducts in this square
