Romania and Bulgaria
A
Romania: communists were popular as they were an alternative to pre war regime. Made it easy for Stalin as opposition was minimal.
Bulgaria: manipulated elections and removing opponents. E.e strongest opposition = agrarian party led by petkov.- he was faced with ‘made up’ charges of espionage against the state n was executed.
His party was absorbed into the communist movement,and all other parties were banned
