Why are extripated species protected under SARA?
Because there are multiple ways we can get them back.
What is one way we can get Extirpated species back?
Rescue Effect – They reappear, in this case they are protected to prevent that initial first few individual animals from being killed before they establish breeding practices. They do not get removed from the expiration list until they have established breeding, then they are moved to “Endangered” status, and so on.
