Sampling in which all possible characteristics are taken into account by giving each member of a target population an equal opportunity to participate

Stratified sampling

A

A theory-driven approach in which the essential characteristics of the sample are chosen in prior and are applied to a target population to find the distribution of these characteristics in the target population. The participants are recruited according to these proportions.
