A
Secretions are almost entirely serous (saliva) and not mucous
The parotid duct travels horizontally and anteriorly until it pierces the buccinator muscle

A
Parasympathetic = Branches of the Glossopharyngeal nerve
Sympathetic = Superior cervical ganglion and nerve plexus on the external carotid
