• Duration of relationship
• Type of abuse
• Any immediate danager
• Vulnerabilities of other person involved
• Parents involvement - need to break confidentiality if they are at risk (mention this at start)
• Schools involvment - get consent to speak with them, what they know, if adhering to policy, ensure other person is safe
• Contact safeguarding team - inform patient
• Police involvement
