A

From Greek word meaning to give thanks
Known as mass or holy communion
Started by Jesus (The Last Supper)-it is a meal to celebrate and remember

What is transubstantiation?

A

Roman Catholics believe at the Eucharist, bread and wine, becomes the body and blood of Christ
Protestants believe bread and wine are symbolic and Christ is present spiritually
Baptists believe it’s an act of remembrance
