> not a problem moving eye (efferent-CN3)
> problem getting light in (afferent CN2)

A

ophthalmic emergency!

  • severe eye pain
  • blurring vision
  • headache
  • neuaseous
  • dilated, fixed, oval pupil
  • hazy cornea

what causes acute primary angle closure glaucoma

why emergency?

A

blockage to aqueous humour

intraocular pressure rises quickly

emergency bc damage to optic nerve can occur - permanent site loss
