Overheated, dry, fever, dry mucus membranes, thirst, Muscle spasms, increased DTR’s,
Increased BP,
ALOC d/t brain shrinkage.
Hyponatremia
Confusion, weakness, limp muscles,
Decreased BP and DTR’s
No Pulmonary Edema
Neurologic sign d/t cerebral edema
Hyperkalemia
"SPEED UP" hyperactivity, and irritability (Muscles/GI tract) diarrhea Flaccid weak muscles Increased potassium slows HR Peak T waves, Decreased P waves Respiratory Arrest
Hypokalemia
“SLOW GO”
Constipation, and Rhabdomylosis
Emergence of U wave, Flat T wave
PVC’s, V-fib, asystole
Hypermagnesemia
Increased DTR,
Decreased respirations
Decreased LOC
flushed skin, lethargy, decreased BP
Hypomagnesemia
Tremors, Twitching, Tetany, Seizures
Increased BP
Increased HR
Hypercalcemia
Increased clotting time, ALOC
Constipation
Muscle and bone pain with weakness
Hypocalcemia
Decreased BP, weak thready pulse, muscle cramps
Diarrhea
Positive Chovostek’s and Trousseau’s signs
Respiratory distress
