Q

Impact of civil war on development of Russian government

A

Defeat in Polish campaign= similar** humiliation** as Crimean/Russo-Japanese war did to the Tsars
-Moved towards foreign policy based on peaceful relations as scared after foreign intervention (British marines/US troops sent to support the whites)
-Defined post-war gov to extent that consisted of men that had served in red army/cheka/other bodies- Emphasis on orderliness/trustworthiness/comradeship/loyalty as these values helped lead to victory in the war
👇
So= more militaristic approach to gov- demonstrated with introduction of war communism/NEP

-Power= more centralized (revolved around Politburo/Orgburo)
