How did WW1 affect the workers?

A

Workers were negatively affected as much more work was needed for the war effort, yet their pay did not increase by much. This meant they struggled to keep up with a rise in basic good costs due to a lack of peasants and inflation, so they could but roughly a quarter of what they could before.
