Made Galenic ideas very prevalent, as they were church-aligned

Local authorities and guilds set rules e.g some areas issued fines of £20 for dumping sewage. This was however, largely ignored

Medieval Medicine remained fairly stable and, even when by chance things were discovered, they were usually rejected (e.g Hugh of Lucca for medieval or Parè losing his job for renaissance)
