A

investment refers to the quality and quantity of what a person brings to the table in a relationship

What are the two types of investment

A

Intrinsic - what each partner has brought separately to the relationship for example money, possessions, time
Extrinsic - the results of the relationship being formed for example children, joint possessions, friends, holidays

What is commitment

A

Commitment refers to what each person is willing to do to maintain a relationship this can happen for various reasons such as both being in love but in some cases can be due ton the investments into the relationship both people have as they will attempt to work out rough patches to not lose their investment.
