Q

Overtake

A

When you are the lineman in the combo block that does not have to leave the initial double team to get the 2nd level Defender. Knock your teammate off to the 2nd level as you take on the whole Defender. Overtake is communicated you/you, me/me.

A

17
Q

Tags

A

Tags allow us to adjust our blocking schemes. If a tag is before the play call we are designating who is blocking that player. If the tag is after the play call we are reading that player.

18
Q

Counting backers

A

For our combos and climbs we will need to be able to count box line backers to communicate where we are working. Our count always works from play side back, and starts with the first back in the box.
