What is rosacea?
A
A chronic relapsing remitting disorder of blood vessels and pilosebaceous units

What is presentation of rosacea?
A
- A central facial rash with erythema, telangiectasia, papules, and pustules (no comedones)
- Inflammatory nodules
- Facial lymphoedema
- Blepharitis/conjunctivitis
- Rhinophyma in men (swelling of nose)

What are Ix for rosacea?
A
Clinical diagnosis but can do ANA to rule out lupus

What is Rx of rosacea
A
Soap substitutes, avoid triggers e.g. sun
topical metronidazole, azelaic acid, benzoyl peroxide
Laser treatment +/- tacrolimus for telangiectasias and erythema
For moderate disease, oral tetracycline
Eye: ocular lubricants and ciclosporin
