- Deploy picketing before the movement of convoy.
- Deploy troops at the selected locations to overcome the lack of strength.
- Assign troops and resources according to threat level.
- Strength of pickets should be strong enough to defend themselves.
- Picketing position should be defendable.
- Provide radio sets for all pickets.
- Picketing should be deployed in mutually supporting distance.
- Picketing should stay in their location for some time after passing the convoy.
