A

Adopted before 6 months and didn’t mentally suffer later in life
After 6 months will mentally suffer and have a lower IQ
After 6 months will also suffer disinhibited attachment

A

Real-world application - with the knowledge of Rutter more advance and knowledgeable on how to help orphans
Fewer confounding variables - due to the incredible young age orphans in the orphanages they suffered small trauma.

Lack of adult data - no information on later in life
Social sensitivity - due to the negative findings of study the effects of orphans and thus they could suffer low social expectations

Disinhibited attachment?

A

Rutter, 2006 shows that it was an adaption to living with multiple caregivers during the sensitive period.
Leads to over friendliness with family and equally strangers

Intellectual disability?

A

All orphans showed intellectual disability when moving to Britain but if they where adopted before six months then they would recover by four. if they where adopted after six months then they would not recover.
