A

A

As there is too much work for all 129 MSPs to work together they will break out into smaller groups to look carefully at the parliaments business. Each committee will specialise in a particular area like Health or Education and they can use committees to introduce, amend or scrutinise legislation.

A

MSPs can propose a Bill (proposed law) to try and address a problem in Scotland. If enough MSPs support it then it becomes law. This can highlight the govts failure to tackle important issues.

A

This takes place at the end of each day in the debating chamber where MSPs vote together to decide parliaments position on a debate or a law. If the vote passes then that is counted as the will of parliament.
