- set of connected behaviors, rights, obligation, beliefs, & norms.

Def. Role Performance
The actual behavior & expression of an individual occupying a role
- how a person expresses his or her own role
- developed by affiliated groups, society or organization standards.

Behaviors that meet role expectations or standards of behaviors of that role
ex: mother caring for sick child

a feeling of being pulled in various directions due to trying to respond to incompatible demands.

Two or more concurrently held roles such as work-family.
