Technology,(HRIS), HR data can be integrated into an enterprise management tool that enables more timely access to shared data throughout the organization. This also allows HR to analyze data, identify issues develop trends, and begin planning.
How can the use of technology reduce transactional time in HR?
HRIS is used to manage HR data and create compliance reports. HR and management software applications increase productivity. In many organizations, managers and employees can complete their transactions through self-service portals.
How can HR focus only on core capabilities?
Tasks that are low in strategic value and are not necessarily considered core HR functions can be outsourced to allow HR to focus on strategic activities. Third-party vendors can provide benefit plan administration, payroll administration, background checks, and other less strategic tasks. This means, however, that HR professionals must develop skills and knowledge associated with outsourcing, such as negotiating and performing due diligence and monitoring and correcting vendor performance.

Knowledge management can help the organization capture and share the wisdom and experience of all its members. In addition, HR can show leaders what and where talent and specialized knowledge reside in the organization so that it can be deployed toward attaining strategic objectives. This is especially important in large and diverse organizations.
