Acid rain (chemical weathering) dissolves the limestone
Goes down clints and grykes as it is impermeable.
CO2 mixes with rainwater (making it a weak carbonic acid)

Pros and cons of the London aquifer
A
Pros- provides water to the whole of London Cheap, don't have to filter it Naturally clean (purified) because of the chalk high in calcium Cons-it will run out (limited) When it gets taken out of the ground, the chalk contracts (sinks) taking London with it
