Fleeing driver principles
Safety precedence
FTS not sufficient in itself to pursue
Investigation preferred

Review in timely manner - health/safety risks, training issues, systemic issues, lessons learnt

During a pursuit notes
No driver can be directed to commence or continue a pursuit
If no pursuit controller or team lead is available, dispatcher must direct abandonment
Pursuit controller directs abandonment if TENR risk outweighs initial threat posed , identify of driver becomes known, loss of contact with fleeing driver, sustained loss of comms with pursuing
Only shift commander can decide to reengage after abandonment
5days for review of fleeing driver notifications

30 Authorised road block to arrest UL at large or committed offence with imprisonment

32 stopping of vehicle at or near road block
