What is a Fleeing Driver
A fleeing driver is one who has been signalled to stop but fails to stop or remain stopped or a driver who fails to stop as a result of police presence whether signalled or not.

What must a TENR risk assessment balance?
- Initial threat posed by the occupants
- Necessity to apprehend the driver of passenger
- Risk of harm is any person if the driver fails to stop or remain stopped.
What information do comms want to know for a driver that’s likely to flee?
- The reason for wanting to stop the driver.
- The intention to signal the driver to stop
- Whether a pursuit will be initiated if the driver fails to stop.
When should a fleeing driver report, TDD or near miss/incident be completed by
End of Shift or with approval within 5 days of the end of shift before going on RDOs or leave.
