What do the sign shapes mean
A
Circle - gives orders
Blue circle - gives instructions
Red circle - says what you MUST NOT do
Triangle - gives warning
Rectangle - gives information

What do white lines in the middle of the road mean?
A
- short broken lines divide lanes
- long broken lines are hazard lines, take care overtaking
- Double white lines that are solid on your side of the road mean you must not cross or straddle the line
- diagonal stripes or chevrons separate lanes and protect traffic turning right

Who has priority if traffic light are broken?
A
Nobody, proceed with care

What do the overhead lights flashing on motorways mean?
A
Amber - warning of hazard or speed limit change
Flashing red with a red X - lane is closed do not drive
Flashing red on signal / side of road - don’t drive past at all in any lane
